Millbrook Roundabout Overnight Closures from 15 May

We have been asked to forward the following information onto you by the Hampshire Chamber:

We’re working in partnership with Balfour Beatty to prepare Millbrook Roundabout for major reconstruction planned to begin this Autumn. Important services are being diverted deep under the roundabout so that they will be unaffected when the main works start. We will also make temporary patch repairs to carry the road through until the full reconstruction later in the year.

The preparation work requires the overnight closure of Millbrook Roundabout in two phases:

Phase 1 / Tuesday 15 May for two nights (8pm – 6am)
Closed between Redbridge Road on-slip and Tebourba Way off-slip, see map area 1 above

Phase 2 / Thursday 17 May for two nights (8pm – 6am)
Closed between Millbrook Road West on-slip and First Avenue off-slip, see map area 2 above

Diversion routes will be signposted. During Phase 1, the diversion for Redbridge Estate will be via Parkside Avenue which will be one way only overnight or via Regents Park Road, Shirley Road and Tebourba Way. For both phases port traffic is advised to use Dock Gate 10.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption these essential works may cause. Please bear with us. We will be doing everything we can to complete the works as quickly and as safely as possible.

Information about the full reconstruction of Millbrook Roundabout will be available closer to the time.
